WDH was established in 2005 and since then has gone from strength to strength.  

The housing association is one of the UK’s largest social housing providers, with over 32,000 homes across the Wakefield district and northern England. 

WDH’s vision is to create confident communities and the organisation provides a wide range of services to contribute towards this. From providing homes that people can be proud of, to supporting people into work and providing commercial buildings to businesses across the district, WDH’s support goes far beyond the front door.

We know that there is more to supporting our communities than providing a roof and a door. We aim to support people at every stage. We have services to support those looking to rent their first home, those experiencing mental health struggles, people with financial difficulties, those looking to get onto the property ladder and those who need a place to live independently but with extra peace of mind.
