Sarah Shooter

Sarah is an experienced fundraiser, with a strong understanding and passion for the theatre and the arts.

She is currently Head of Development at Theatre Royal Wakefield. Leading a small team she works across the full spectrum of fundraising: individual giving, membership, corporates, and trusts and foundations. She has particular expertise in running galas and other large-scale events, as well as developing targeted fundraising initiatives and opportunities and has expertise in preparing and delivering funding strategies.

She is also Deputy Director (and alumni) of the National Arts Fundraising School, where she leads on the work supporting smaller organisation and how to maximise corporate support. This recently has involved working with Creative Berwick and Arts and Culture Lincoln, delivering workshops and support to a wide range of organisations.

She has worked in fundraising for over 20 years across a number of sectors but is now focusing on the arts. She is also an experienced and skilled project manager who has developed and delivered a wide programme of creative activities and events to engage new and existing audiences, for which she has received national awards and recognition.
