This March edition of We Are Wakefield will begin the celebrations of 125 years of the Pinderfields Hospital site, giving members the opportunity to learn more about our local NHS Trust, NHS supply and procurement, partnership opportunities, the newly launched MY Innovation Space, MY Hospitals Charity and more!

Your mission throughout the morning will be to form new connections through great conversations! Make 2025 your year for WAW COLLABORATION!

11.30am to 1.00pm Optional follow-on session:

In celebration of 125 years of the Pinderfields hospital site, MY Hospitals Charity are launching its biggest charity event, ‘Hands Across Wakefield’. The event will see 2,000 people in a human chain stretching from Pinderfields Hospital to Wakefield Cathedral.

We Are Wakefield members are welcomed to complete a section of the chain together to help set this historic milestone for Wakefield and symbolise unity, compassion, and support for healthcare in the community.

Members are asked to complete the questionnaire upon sign up to indicate their participation in the chain.

1.00pm – 2.00pm More Celebrations!

If you are taking part in Hands Across Wakefield, then come and join us afterwards at Wakefield Cathedral to celebrate being part of Wakefield’s biggest charity event.

Refreshments will be available and there will be stands from local business and organisations that have supported Hands Across Wakefield. This is an ideal opportunity to meet the people who helped make the event a success and who have community spirit at the heart of what they do. At 1.30pm, the event will officially draw to a close with a short multi-faith service.
