Family Fit UK is a community interest company (CIC) based in the Wakefield area, and run by Paula Appleton and Andy Freeman.
A community interest company is a business with social objectives whose surpluses are principally reinvested for the benefit of the community. Rather than being driven by the need to maximize profit for shareholders and owners. CICs tackle a wide range of social and environmental issues and operate in all parts of the economy by using business solutions to achieve the public good.
Family Fit UK’s social aim is to help everyone lead happier, healthier and longer lives together. They are passionate about improving community health, well-being, and social cohesion through increased confidence and knowledge of how to be physically active. This is the cornerstone of the business.
Family Fit run a huge range of activities to make sure to keep you active, from boxercise, to bespoke programmes, to running course, walking programmes and holiday camps for kids.
Paula and Andy are open and honest, they never leave anyone behind, meaning that you can get involved no matter how inexperienced you are.
