John Stancliffe

John is Head of Frickley Athletic Community Foundation.

John started the Foundation in May 2018. The goals for the foundation are to improve and support the local area in the South East of Wakefield, in any way required. This has been done via sports, fitness programmes for the unemployed, helping financially with household appliances to name but a few of the projects undertaken.

Frickley Athletic Community Foundation were honoured to win Outstanding Community Engagement at the Wakefield Business Awards in 2022 and again in 2023, topping off a great couple of years for the Foundation.  The Foundation have decided to give another organisation a chance this year as John takes his place on the panel!

John has always worked in industries helping and supporting people, previously managing training centres across the North of England for 16- to 18-year-olds to gain qualifications, employment and apprenticeships.

Away from work, John is involved in football through coaching and has a keen interest in all sports.
