The concept behind The Quarry at Horbury is one that isn’t matched anywhere else in Wakefield. A place where you can work, eat and drink all rolled into one – especially steeped with history is something that you can’t find anywhere else.
Dating back to 1865, The Quarry was originally used as a watering hole for Quarry workers in and around Horbury. But four years ago, it was fully re-designed as a 2 floor restaurant, bar & private event space with an outdoor terrace area.
With private dining areas both upstairs and downstairs suitable for up to 40 guests plus a stunning ‘fire’ table – The Quarry Restaurant & Bar has a little bit of something for everyone.
The Quarry Restaurant and Bar has been taken over by renowned Hotelier and Businessman John Horvath and local retailer and Councillor Simon Fishwick, which has brought it back to life and is now an integral part of the Wakefield hospitality sector.
Priding themselves on using only the best ingredients from locally sourced traders, The Quarry has created a uniquely crafted menu from using only the finest ingredients which is a showcase of what the area has to offer.
Hot desking is available for all workers who fancy a change of scenery. For only £10, The Quarry offers a desk, free Wifi, unlimited hot beverages, a choice of sandwiches and wraps, for a maximum of 120 people – with the opportunity to book a private boardroom for up to 12 people with a fire pit taking centre stage.
